Ow!

Sports Injuries

Picked up a dodgy knee from football? Twisted something badly? something hurts that shouldn't? I'd recommend , a specialist in Sports Therapy and Remedial Massage. I've seen him work, and he certainly knows his stuff.

Excuses

Oh, I can't do Aikido because I've got a bad back/ sprained ankle / dodgy shoulder? No excuse whatsoever. Contact this chap "", and he'll sort you out. Then, you can come along to the next session anyway.

On a side note...

Probably pure coincidence, but I personally suffered from mild RSI in my wrists and hands for about a year on and off (no real surprise, since I've spent the last 10 years typing on a computer keyboard). Since I started Aikido, with regular wrist stretches and exercises, I've had no symptoms whatsoever for the last couple of months. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had any similar experiences - i.e. does the kinds of joint manipulation in Aikido help RSI? Update: Andrew has informed me that it is quite possible that the Aikido exercises and wristlocks helped my RSI.
