Unfortunately the course on Sunday will not be taking place. Sorry.
There will be an extra practice/training session on Sunday 20th Feburary. Training will start at 11am and finish around 3pm. Cost will be ten pounds. This will replace the normal training session on Sunday evening.
A few videos added to the Katana page, and fixed some links on the video clips page.
A few photos from the Skenfrith training course added on the Photos page.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to one and all! and congratulations to those who graded this week!
The grading on the 6th was moved forward to today. Well done to our new 8th Kyu (Red) and our two new 5th Kyu (Yellows)! There will probably be another grading in December at Monmouth.
We have a grading pencilled in for wednesday 6th October, and an Aikido Meal has been arranged for Wednesday 13th October. The meal will be at the Ocean Pearl chinese resturant in the Podium in Bath. Meet at the resturant at 8pm. Please let Andy know if you will/will not be attending.
Please note that the Dojo will be shut between Saturday 25th September to Monday 4th October inclusive. This is to allow a new wooden floor to be laid underneath the training mats. Assistance will be appreciated on the morning of the 25th to move mats, etc, and also on the 3rd (sunday) to replace the mats.
Not strictly Aikido related, but I've added a page on Katanas with a couple of clips.
Sunday training restarts today (September 5th) and will continue every sunday.
During the July and August school holidays, there will be no Sunday sessions. Between Sunday July 4th and Sunday August 29th inclusive there will be no Sunday training unless especially arranged with Andy. Wednesday sessions take place as normal.
Please note that there will be a training session this sunday (July 4th).
There is a visit to the Monmouth club on Monday 5th July. If you are coming, please let Andy know, and we meet at 6:15 pm at the dojo.

Well done to our instructor Andrew, who achieved his second dan grade on Sunday!
Oops! I've spotted some errors on the Tegatana Dousa pages - a load of the feet movements were wrong! They've all been corrected now.
Because of the Monmouth course at the end of May, there will be no class on Sunday the 30th of May.
Minor updates, links added.
Redesigned the borders to avoid using images - More friendly for dialup browsers. Reduced menu sizes for smaller browser windows.

While googling, I came across the BAA top ten clubs where we come joint 9th out of all the Shodokan - Tomiki clubs in the UK!
I've updated the code behind the site to reduce loading times and reduce the dependance on Javascript. I've also added some nice borders.
Several areas of the site have been updated. The Tegatana Dousa pages have been finished, and we've added a new page about Buying Weapons. I've also added to the Fun Stuff page with some computer tips and other stuff. Enjoy!
The grading went very well! Well done to all who attended. We have three new 7th Kyu grades and one 5th Kyu.
The grading will be held on 22nd December at Monmouth club. Travel details to be finalised.
The Christmas meal was a great success! Large amounts of good food and conversation were had by all. Many thanks to Andrew for the organisation.
The Christmas meal has been arranged for Wednesday 8th October, 9pm at 'the nice chinese resturant in Westbury'. Training will start at 8pm as normal but only last for 1 hour: we will leave for the resturant at 9pm. Please let Andrew know whether you will be able to attend.
